Newstead Abbey is a beautiful gothic style histroic house in the heart of Nottinghamshire built in the late 12th century and the former home of the romantic poet Lord Byron
Boasting 300 acres of parkland which includes lakes , ponds , water falls , themed gardens , children’s play area and a cafe where afternoon teas ,drinks , snacks ect can be purchased
Inside the Abbey you will get to see Lord Byron’s personal items which includes furniture , letters , manuscripts, portraits plus his gilt wood bed pistol and the desk at which he wrote much of his finest work ( admission charges apply)
On the Saturday evening marshals will be providing cheese , crackers and wine along with entertainment for children and adults
