Most of the rallies from the programme for 2022/2023 have now been uploaded. There are a few that still need to be uploaded which are awaiting further information, these will be completed as soon as possible.
Payments for rallies - please do not make any further payments for rallies until after 1st January 2022. This is to assist the Centre Treasurer with the Centre Accounts. Thanks in advance for your assistance with this. Going forward all rally payments must be made at least 14 days prior to the start of the rally. This has been decided by the committee to avoid future issues arising from late payments.
In line with the launch of the new rally programme, the committee have decided to start issuing rally plaques again. To guarantee getting a plaque, you must book on at least 18 days before the rally start date.
The first batch of rallies have now been uploaded so you can book online - more will follow over the next few days.
We seem to be back into full swing with rallies which we are able to do almost everything we could do pre covid. We have had some brilliant well attended socials including Collingham and Winthorpe thank you to the marshals! The feedback I have received from both Nott’s members and other centres whom attended has been brilliant, and we hope they will go back and report to their own centres what a good time they have had. Invitations had been sent out for the Chairlady's rally to be held at Thoresby Park, Nottinghamshire over the weekend 20th to 22nd May 2022. Leicestershire Centre have confirmed that they will add the rally to their programme as an invite.
A recent review of the centre's disco equipment has resulted in the purchase of 2 new, good quality speakers. These will be a great asset to the centre as we approach the winter season for use on the Christmas Social Rally and also on the New Year Rally. Rally marshals will be able to request use of the equipment for their rallies but will have to follow an agreed procedure which will be managed by the Audio Officer.

I am pleased to present my report for 2021 to you all. I wish to thank all the committee and those from all centres who have helped Dave and myself in my second year of my Chair ladyship. The last year has been very challenging. The Coronavirus and its consequences have a lot to answer for. With the support of our committee we are able to rally again albeit with restrictions and changes that have been implemented and enforced by HQ. These include strict covid guidelines including prepayment by BACS, track and trace and risk assessments. We have still managed to have 10 rallies since the last AGM with the average attendance of 24 vans. The prepayment by bank transfer has been very successful and protects both our marshals and treasurer from having to have large amounts of money in their vans which is a security risk, and also means land owners are being paid directly by our treasurer Jane. I would like to thank Tom Mead who stepped in to the assistant social secretary role even though you had no socials to organise your input on the committee was appreciated Thank you to Claire Bond who has been our press officer and facebook warden for want of a better word. All the mentioned above will be stepping down this year from the committee and I would like to pass on our thanks on behalf of the centre. Thank you to the land owners who have allowed us to rally at their venues, with a big thank you to Martin Critchley our rally secretary, who has booked some fabulous rallies for us to enjoy next year, and the members who have picked these rallies up to allow us to continue to have a strong membership and enjoy the venues. Thankyou to everyone to everyone else on the committee, Jane, Tracy Julie, Sara and Richard for your support over this trying time. Thanks to John Shipley who put together a strong fishing team but we unfortunately lost the trophy this year but the winners (Leicestershire) did have help from Notts members. Finally, thank you to my husband Dave who has been my rock and has been there as a chauffeur, handyman, tea maker, pot washer and general ear to bend! without his support. I could not have been able to do the role. This concludes my speech,

The AGM meeting was well attended this year and followed the usual running order as used in previous years. After the Chair and Treasurers reports had been presented, a minutes silence was held for past and present members Pete Ward and Roger Pannell who sadly passed away during the last year. Chairlady, Marie then gave thanks to Tom Mead and Claire Bond who both retired from the committee prior to the new committee elections taking place. Your new committee for the coming year is as follows: Chairlady - Marie Charlton Secretary - Tracy Orchard Treasurer - Jane Tomkinson Rally Sec - Martin Critchely Asst. Rally Sec - Richard Hitch Quartermaster - Julie Widdowson Webmaster - Sara Gozney Communications Officer - Gill Hitch (co-opted at the meeting) This leaves 3 vacant committee positions available: Social Secretary; Asst. Social Secretary and Audio Officer. Although the AGM is now over, it is still possible to co-opt anyone from within the Notts Centre membership. If you are interested in any of these positions on the committee, please contact Centre Secretary, Tracy Orchard. A motion had been submitted regarding the payment of rallies and this was discussed with the outcome being that the Centre would continue to use the current method of payment by Bank Transfer however, for the few people that may not be able to use this method, assistance will be provided. Marie announced that, as this would be her last year as Chairlady, she wanted to raise funds for charity. Her chosen charity is the Rainbows Hospice, a very worthy cause as this is the only children's hospice in the whole of the East Midlands and it only receives 15% funding from the Government relying on charitable donations for the rest of the £6m annual running costs. Fundraising had taken place over the weekend including a cake sale with donations going to the Macmillan Cancer Charity which raised £42.25 A raffle was also held to raise funds for the centre which raised £52. The next committee meeting is to be held via Zoom on 6th October. Should you have any questions or issues you wish to raise for discussion by the committee, please contact Secretary, Tracy Orchard or any other committee member.
