Children's Sports
Well I thought - I will take some photographs of those children who manage to get on the podium - little did I know how many that would be - I make no apologies for the amount of photographs on this page as for the first time in the Centre's history we won the Alf Chapman Cup for the Children's running races. I personally have been attending inter centre rallies since Newark Showground in 1995 and it was great to see so many children competing.
As Ian, the Sports officer, said at flag - he thinks the last time Notts won anything it was when Robin Hood won the archery competition!!! Well done to everyone who competed, even if you did not manage to get in the first three - it was wonderful to see so many red shirts on the track - and to finish off with the 1, 2, 3 in the 14-16 Potato and pail just couldn't have been better - especially as two of the boys in that race Scott and Daniel took part in their first inter centre race in 1995 - and what would be the last one for Scott as he will be 17 next year and won't be able to race.
