New Year Rally
New Years Eve

Where did time go it was the fourth night already. The Centre Flag was an emotional affair, the current marshals had overseen the New year for four years and were stepping down. After his thank yous to the ralliers who had helped the team were given a standing ovation by everyone in the hall.

A full carvery meal was served and then it was time for our own acts - there wasn't a dry eye in the house once the children had sung and then our Vice Chairman Sandra Purdy managed to get one back on the male marshals with her verions of its in his kiss!!!!

The centre had been donated a ticket to go and watch Nottingham Forest and to sit in an executive box with all proceeds going to the Chairmans Charity. It was decided to raffle this and the raffle made a staggering total of £185.00 - the winner of the raffle then proceeded to hand it back for auction - the ticket finally went for £200.00 - which made a fantastic £385.00 raised, a signed Nottingham Forest Football then raised another £80.00 and the Calendar Girls poster was auctioned to raise another £50.00 - thanks to everyone for their support.

We then saw the New year in our own inimitable fashion until the early hours.

Thanks to marshals Richard, Gill, Paul, Lisa, Nikki and Paul and good luck to new marshals for next year Jane, Paul, Anne, Adrian, John and Jennie who have an hard act to follow!!
