A fabulous weekend helped enormously by the weather. We were allocated a pitch close to the action again so weren't we pleased!!

There were 40 vans booked on the Notts Centre lines and they started arriving at 7.05 a.m. - no rest for us block marshals.

As usual it was an action packed weekend and well done to everyone who took part. Lauren Pattinson was our flag girl this year

Just a few mentions - although we didn't have a team on the Friday evening Ian managed to put together a team for the U12 football and they played really well but didn't manage to get through the group stages. Well done to Alex, Barney, Millie, Frazer, Peter and Ewan.

The 13-16 Boys football progressed to the semi final where they were unlucky in being knocked out by Cheshire on penalties - well done to Daniel, Matt, Liam, Josh and Jordan.

Mens Volleyball - well done to John, Paul, Ian, Lee, Josh, Scott, Ben and not forgetting big Oli who won one and lost three.

Our girls junior netball team surpassed themselves. Beating Northants & Rutlands in the Semi Final they played Cheshire in the final - losing out 16-10 but until the last couple of minutes the score was very close. Congratulations to Jess, Cortney, Georgina, Amy, Gemma, Katie, Laura, Kirsty and Lauren Pattinson.

Our under 19's boys football team won a very well contested and friendly final narrowly beating South Essex on penalties. Well done to Scott, Aaron, Josh, Ben, Oli and last but definitely not least our stand in Sam who hates football!!!!! I don't think the heart could have stood much more with the match going to 12 penalties each!

A good successful weekend again for us all - thanks to Ian and Paul for all their hard work - we all look forward to Weston Park next year!!!!
