Well fabulous weather for National and Inter Centre in the same year - unheard of!!

A fantastic weekend which has been in planning for the past year and was finally here. With nearly 200 caravans arriving on the 12th June it was all hands on deck to get everything ready.

My phone and email had been going constantly in the run up so I think we were all glad that it was finally here.

Thanks to everyone that helped and for all the competitors who took part, spectators who watched and not forgetting all those that helped clear up at the end!!!

We hoped that we would be able to retain the Alf Chapman sports trophy but it wasn't to be -we lost out by only a couple of points but well done to all the Derbyshire runners.

The Bill Peck Trophy was again won by Derbyshire - we had never got as close before only losing out by one point which was really only goal difference on one event!!! I have been in this centre since 1995 and I remember going to every inter centre and hearing "in 5th place Nottinghamshire" many a time and since 2005 it has been getting better and better so to hear that we were so close was fantastic.

Our teams all performed to their best and we must mention the football teams who did not let a single goal in for any of their matches, and we are talking about 16 or so matches here.
