Easter Rally - Lyndon Top, Rutland Water

Friday night there was a get together in the begged and borrowed marquees and gazebos. It was a fairly relaxed evening with a little quiz and a good chance for our visitors to get to know each other.

Saturday 10.30 to 12.30 all the children were entertained with making and decorating cakes, Easter baskets, Easter cards and eggs. Some of the children stayed behind and helped to decorate the marquees and did a fantastic job.

Saturday evening there was a buffet and a Chinese raffle which went down well - it is amazing the diversity of what people supply for £1.

Sunday saw us all get together at 3.30 for cream scones and hot cross buns and a natter.

Sunday night was cheese and wine, with a game of Deal or No Deal - top prize of £25 - we had 2 games and the ralliers provided us with a lot of dring drings for the banker!!.

The sun finally descended as we packed away on Monday.

Everyone enjoyed themselves despite the weather and the children were just fabulous. A lovely mixed crowd from numerous Centres who all made new friends. Dave and Helen were fantastic co marshals, and a friend of ours said he would never have known that they had not done anything like this before. We had lots of help on hand with buffet prep, cream teas and taking down the marquees which we really appreciated.
