The Big Quiz Part 2 - 13th to 15th March 2009

It was a return to Collingham for the Big Quiz part 2.

Friday night it was great to have a natter and a not so quiet get together.

Saturday night 24 teams (including four children's teams) took part in the quiz. As well as the quiz there was a raffle and a game of stand up bingo with the prize being the proceeds from the raffle which was a fantastic £30.00 for the last adult standing and £20.00 for the last child standing. Scott Carlile and Chloe Preston were the winners and weren't they happy about it!!

At the end of the quiz there was a tie between Two up two down and the Irons - well done to the Irons (Simon and Jo Roberts, Pete and Jan Glasson) who pipped their opponents (Mick and Sam Yeomans, Lee and Lorraine Austin) on the tie break. Third place went to the wonderful Wolfit Warriors (Jason and Jane Hall, Kate and Ian Driver).

The victorious younger team were TI, JT and the Bad Boys, otherwise known as Scott Carlile, Daniel Pilgrim, Josh Storer and Jordan Austin.

Thanks to everyone who took part and made what we hope was a successful evening. Our thanks also must go to Roy and Jill Taylor who very kindly donated a trophy to be given to the winners each year.
