Chairmans Rally - Clumber Park

Back to one of our premier venues, Clumber Park. The weather wasn't too bad to us but when we were putting those marquees up on Thursday night we wondered whether we were right to do so with the wind.

The vans started arriving early on Friday morning and with over 100 vans to come we were hoping they were coming sooner rather than later!!

Friday evening our usual get together and disco from DJ Dan - those 80's records always get people moving!

Saturday evening it was a bit of a tight fit in the marquees to say the least but we had a full evening - Barbara Shreeves and her friends ran a tombola stall and managed to raise a fabulous £138.00 for the charity and we also had the luanch of our charity calendar for 2010, then to serve supper to over 300 people and then we had a fabulous artist Danielle Grace-Williams.

Sunday evening the charity raffle raised a further £163 for the chairmans charity and there was a surprise in store for everyone as Richard Hitch had booked one of our favourite artists Richard Comfort as a surprise for wife Gill's 50th birthday - everyone seemed to enjoy the evening!

But as usual it had to come to an end and it was great to see so many people come down and help with the dismantling of the three marquees. Roll on for next August for our 2500th and Chairmans Charity Rally at the same venue.
